Weeks 1-2
Set up the house so your puppy can succeed.
Your puppy will: Potty rhythm, crate comfort, name response, calm food routines, handling, and biting resets.
You will learn: How to prevent problems before they become habits.
Weeks 3-4
Build clear communication on leash and at home.
Your puppy will: Marker timing, sit/down foundations, check-ins, engagement games, and loose leash starts.
You will learn: How to motivate without bribing and make the right choice obvious.
Weeks 5-6
Add distance, confidence, and safe exposure.
Your puppy will: Recall, long-line work, socialization, public surfaces, sounds, people, and recovery after excitement.
You will learn: How to expose without flooding and help your puppy refocus.
Weeks 7-8
Practice manners where life actually happens.
Your puppy will: Place, polite greetings, calm waiting, graduation practice, and AKC Canine Good Citizen readiness.
You will learn: How to keep training going with a custom next-step plan, puppy certification, and included CGC testing.
Every week: Mitchell shares what is working, what needs adjustment, the next lesson plan, and what to practice next. At the end of the program, your puppy receives a Puppy Foundations certification, with AKC Canine Good Citizen testing included.

A few things puppy owners usually ask.
Is this board and train?
No. This is the opposite of board and train. Your puppy does not disappear while someone else does the work. Mitchell coaches you and your puppy together so you understand the skills and can keep using them for the rest of your dog's life.
Is this an online course?
No. Puppy Foundations is an in-person coaching program for local puppy owners.
How often do we meet?
You and your puppy meet with Mitchell twice per week for eight weeks, for a total of 16 private sessions.
What happens between sessions?
Each week Mitchell shares a progress report: what is working, what needs adjustment, the next lesson plan, and what to practice before the next session.
Is AKC Canine Good Citizen testing included?
Yes. Puppy Foundations includes AKC Canine Good Citizen testing so you have a real milestone to work toward, not just a list of exercises.
